Sotomayor Nominated as Supreme Court Justice! 

Today marks a wonderful day for our country because President Obama nominated Sonia Sotomayor, a superbly qualified nominee, to the United States Supreme Court. When she is confirmed, Judge Sotomayor will become the first Latina to serve on our highest Court. With this nomination, President Obama opens a door that had been closed for too long, and brings a fresh perspective and brilliant legal mind to the Supreme Court.

Taking Steps to Provide Workers Paid Sick Days

On Monday, with strong support, the House of Representatives introduced the Healthy Families Act. This legislation would allow workers to earn up to seven paid sick days a year. The Senate is expected to introduce the Healthy Families Act this week.

Health Care Reform Debate Heats Up
